If you know your credit isn’t good, the worst thing you can do is NOTHING!
Most realtors and salespeople have someone in their back pocket who can help you repair your credit, and that’s great! But to be honest, you don’t necessarily need them!
You have to WANT BETTER to attract better opportunities! Put that pride and ego aside and start having conversations with people who understand credit. Talk to bankers, financially responsible friends, family members, and people who have been where you are and turned things around.
Improving your credit isn’t necessarily difficult to understand, but it DOES require discipline, consistency, and a willingness to change your habits!
In sales, we HAVE to care about this! Because without financially qualified customers, we don’t have customers!
But for me, it goes deeper than just making a sale. I pride myself on building relationships and creating LIFETIME CUSTOMERS! That means helping you make informed financial decisions, not just putting you in a vehicle today.
If we can structure a deal around something that fits your budget, meets your needs, and gives you an opportunity to build positive payment history, we’re setting you up for something much bigger than a car purchase. We’re helping you move toward financial success!
And here’s something else I want you to understand:
Once you’re in a position to START, you also need an EXIT STRATEGY!
Knowing how you’re going to get OUT of a deal before you get INTO it is one of the most valuable financial tools you can have. Understanding your interest rate, loan term, depreciation, equity position, and future options could literally save you TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars over time!
Don’t just focus on whether you can afford the payment today. Think about where that decision puts you two, three, or five years from now.
Your credit doesn’t have to be perfect to get started on improving it. But it won’t improve by ignoring it!
And remember, you can’t get anywhere unless you START!
