Save Thousands with Ford Employee Pricing: You Pay What We Pay

Buying a new car is a big decision, and everyone loves a good deal. What if you could buy a new Ford at the same price an employee pays? Good news – Ford Employee Pricing is now available to all customers for a limited time. This special promotion lets you pay what Ford workers pay, which is a price below the dealer’s invoice cost . In this blog post, we’ll explain how Ford’s Employee Pricing works and how you can take advantage of it to save thousands on a new vehicle. We’ll also look at why Ford can offer these deals now, especially as new tariffs are forcing other brands to raise prices. So if you’re a Ford fan or just a car shopper looking to stretch your budget, read on to see how this “you pay what we pay” handshake deal can put you in a new ride for less!

What Is Ford Employee Pricing?

Ford’s Employee Pricing (often called “You Pay What We Pay”) is a purchasing program that was traditionally reserved for Ford’s own employees and their families. It offers vehicles at a discounted price, usually below the MSRP and even below the dealer invoice price . In other words, it’s the kind of rock-bottom price a Ford insider might get – and right now everyone is being treated like a Ford insider. Ford has branded the current promotion as “From America, For America”, highlighting its focus on U.S. customers and American-made vehicles .

Normally, to get employee pricing you’d have to be a Ford employee or have a special PIN from a Ford employee to share their discount. But for a limited time (April 3 through June 2, 2025), Ford is opening up this program to all U.S. car shoppers . No haggling is needed – the price is set by Ford as the same price a Ford worker would pay. That means ordinary buyers can purchase or lease a new Ford at the exact discounted rate employees get. It’s like having a friend at the factory giving you their discount, except now it’s officially available to everyone.

Why Is Ford Offering These Big Discounts Now?

You might wonder, why would Ford cut prices for everyone, especially when other car prices are going up? The answer has a lot to do with recent tariffs (import taxes) and Ford’s unique position as an American manufacturer. Recently, the U.S. implemented new 25% tariffs on foreign-made vehicles and parts. Analysts predict these tariffs will cause many car brands – especially those that build cars outside the U.S. – to raise their prices significantly . In fact, one analysis estimated that the price of a typical car could shoot up by $5,000 to $10,000 due to the new tariffs, and in some cases as much as $12,000 more for certain imported models . This means brands that rely heavily on imports (think many European and Asian automakers) are likely to pass those extra costs to consumers in the form of higher sticker prices.

Ford, however, is in a different situation. About 80% of Ford’s vehicles sold in the U.S. are built right here in America , largely insulating Ford from the full brunt of those import taxes on complete vehicles. Because most Ford models are Made in USA, they won’t be subject to the 25% tariff on imported cars (though some specific models built in Mexico or elsewhere could still face parts tariffs). In contrast, some competitors manufacture a large portion of their cars overseas. For example, industry data showed Japanese automakers like Toyota and Honda, and even some U.S. rivals, have a much higher share of imports and are far more vulnerable to these tariffs and resulting cost increases . In short, Ford can afford to hold the line on prices (or even drop them) while other brands are forced to hike theirs due to the new taxes on imports.
